Poulton Gala committee had also planned to move the community event from the traditional Saturday to a Sunday, but the decision was met with hesitancy from the public.
After discussing opinions around the change of date, the committee agreed to continue to hold the Gala on a Saturday, but will trial the new venue for 2020.

Hide AdAndy McKay, chairman of Poulton Gala committee said: "We have listened to each and every one who has commented through social media or directly to ourselves, and have taken into account some other factors which have since come to light.
As a result, we have taken the decision to revert back to having the Gala on its traditional day, Saturday 6th June”.
Poulton Gala Day traditionally takes place on the first Saturday of June each year, and in recent years was held within Market Square.
According to the committee, it is believed to have been held in the market town every year from 1897, proving to be one of Wyre's longest-running community traditions.
