This time last year few of us could have predicted what would become one of the toughest years in Fylde coast's history.
People across the region have experienced unprecedented restrictions placed on our communities, the loss of loved ones, as well as heartwarming moments of true kindness and support.
Here are just some of the moments that have informed and touched us this year:
1. January - New coastal footpath announced
A 125-mile footpath linking the Fylde coast to Cumbria was announced. The eventual aim is to provide a coastal route around the entire country.
2. January - A breathe of fresh air in Blackpool
We revealed that Blackpool is the best place in the country for healthy air, with fewer deaths linked to pollution than anywhere in the UK.
3. February - Raids at Burtons Biscuits
Police were forced to step up patrols at Burtons Biscuits as raiders entered and made off with the sweet treats!
4. February - Violent criminals sent to Kirkham open prison
We revealed that violent criminals were being sent to Kirkham Jail, even though it is an open prison, and murderers were being let out on day release.
5. March - Lockdown announced
Blackpool joined the rest of the country in lockdown after Prime Minister Boris Johnson announced that we were all being asked to stay at home to help fight the pandemic.
6. March - Huge fire rips through catering company
A huge fire took hold at a catering company and spread to the company next door. Nationwide Catering Ltd and the neighbouring Rainbow Candies Ltd were left in ruins by the fire/ The firms pledged to rebuild.
