The force says it is stepping up the number of officers in the area, in a message on its Facebook site within the last few minutes.

it follows a dispersal order which was put in place around the park between Thursday night and early this morning.

The police stated: "We are aware of increased community concern about ASB in Fleetwood, particularly at the Memorial Park.

"We take these reports seriously, so we have increased the police presence in the area, including deploying Fylde & Wyre Task Force officers.

"Don’t be concerned if you see officers patrolling – we’re out to keep you safe.

"Parents, please take responsibility for understanding where your younger family members are, remind them to act responsibly and follow the revised Govt Covid19 rules."
