Leo White, of Fredora Avenue, was picked to show off his new kit on the Adidas website after his mum, Melissa Holmes, sent his pictures off to a relative who works for the company.

Leo, who is a pupil at Hawes Side Nursery, discovered a love for football after practicing with his dad, Sam, during lockdown.

Melissa, 29, said: "Leo is a Blackpool FC fan obviously, but when it comes to the big teams he likes to watch Man U.

"His dad is a big football fan. We've had the garden done over lockdown and all he has wanted to do is play football with his daddy in the garden. His dad is a football coach for the Clifton Rangers, so it's in his blood.

"Leo is chuffed to bits when he saw it. At first he asked if it meant he was a footballer, but I said no, not quite - not yet!

"He's football obsessed. He's probably a bit too young to join any teams yet, but he probably will. I feel chuffed to bits, even though football drives me mad. Both me and his dad are very proud."
