Lune Deep went into the studio with producer George Williams, a highly respected musician from Fleetwood, to record their first album back in 2014 and couldn’t wait for it to be released.

The band, who enjoyed a strong following in their home town while still in their teens, had written all ten songs themselves.

One of the songs on the album was the upbeat Shining Diamond, which had become a favourite at live shows.

But various other commitments got in the way of them being able to promote the record and sadly the band ended up calling it a day with a final performance in the town in December 2014.

The album was never released - until now.

The record, called Fields to Offices, is officially released on Friday (July 3).

The band, whose average age is now 25, may return to some live performances to support the album, if feedback to it is good.

Bass player Brad Mills said: “Even though it was incredibly exciting to go down and record the album, things didn’t work out, but we have always kept in touch with each other.

“During lockdown, we had a bit more time to chat about things and our thoughts came back to the album.

“We all decided that it would be a shame if it never saw the light of day, especially as we always had such brilliant support in Fleetwood."

A word with producer George set things rolling.

Brad added: "We'd just like to thank George for all he has done and Alan Smith, who was our manager and really kept things going for us when we were finding our way."
