The mini-film, on the school's Facebook site, shows staff at the Northfleet Avenue school rushing around classrooms and corridors with "tickling stick" style dusters and mops, making the school spotless for the return of pupils.

The Black to School video went out last night, before the majority of pupils returned to school today after the summer break.

Set to the stately theme of Johann Strauss' Blue Danube waltz and with some deft slow motion effects, the video follows what has become a recent tradition at the school.

Flakefleet has already created its own version of a Royal wedding on video and a Christmas film featuring a little elf.

Head teacher Dave McPartlin, who led the choir in last year's BGT final on TV, is among the members of staff featured in the video.

He said: "It's a bit of fun and it helps lay down a welcoming feel for pupils returning to school.

"We've had great feedback from parents."
