The Empire bingo hall in Hawes Side Lane, Marton, which dated back to 1929 and was a key attraction in the resort’s proud entertainment timeline, has this week been demolished.
Starting life as a picture house, the locally listed hall went on to become the Casino nightclub before being turned into a bingo hall in 1974.
