Peekaboo nursery on Vicarage Avenue, Cleveleys, raised awareness of the importance of supporting young people with their mental health by delivering different 'mindfulness' sessions during Children's Mental Health Week last week (February 3-9.)
Staff created a makeshift 'spa day' where children enjoyed a foot spa, nail salon and hairdressers, as well as visits to Cleveleys library to enhance their understanding of the world and promote mental well-being through reading.

"The environment we provide for the children ensures they have the freedom to express themselves as individuals, and have a sense of belonging."
Children's Mental Health Week 2020 was set up by children's charity Place2Be, and first launched in 2015.
The charity worked with 639 schools in England, Scotland and Wales during 2019, and aims to provide counselling, support and mental health training to schools across the UK.

Natasha continued: "Promoting emotional well-being at such a young age is extremely important.
It enables children to develop resilience, and cope with whatever life throws at them."
