Christmas Day lottery joy for Blackpool families

Three people in Blackpool had an extra reason to celebrate on Christmas Day after winning £1,000 each thanks to their postcode.

The Sandgate neighbours landed the windfall when their address was announced as a People’s Postcode Lottery Daily Prize winner on December 25.

People’s Postcode Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt sent her well-wishes.

She said: “A massive congratulations to our winners. What a great Christmas present! I hope they had a lovely festive period and enjoy spending their winnings.”

Blackpool has enjoyed a string of Postcode Lottery wins over the past few months.

Last month a grandmother-of-five from Bispham won a share of £150,000 while in July four people in Lytham St Annes are celebrating today after winning £1,000 each and also last month four neighbours in Easington Crescent netted £1,000 each.
