All Government guidelines on Covid controls will be followed to make performances secure, stresses the managing Lowther Trust.

Trust spokesman Tim Lince said “Lowther is going all out to secure headline acts that you would normally have to travel many miles to see.

“It has been such a pleasure to be the first theatre back in operation during the summer staging outdoor and then indoor performances.

“The recent Government announcement regarding reducing group sizes for meeting indoors and out is only in regard of unlicensed events.

“With regard to theatres we will still operate with the maximum of six people in a social bubble but since our events are licensed, the total number of people admitted will be in relation to the social distancing Covid policy for the building.

“All people coming to Lowther will be sat as per the social group they have booked with and we will only seat people in maximum social bubble sizes of six. Social distance seating will be used at all events.

“We have put measures in place to enhance safety including the fitting of temperature-measuring cameras in the foyer, plus our social distance champions will make sure the public remain distanced through out and we have enhanced cleaning and sanitising regimes and increased ventilation.”
