She said: “I had struggled with previous diets and obviously they hadn’t worked.

“With me having no thyroid, it’s a real struggle to lose weight anyway. You can get a bit disheartened.

“I just wanted to do it for me, I got to the point where all the children had gone to school, I felt like now it was time.

“I found it so easy to follow the Cambridge Plan, it worked for me and was easy to stick to.

“Losing 5st has made a massive difference for me.

“I’ve gone from a size 22 to a 14, so it makes a big difference to the clothes I can buy and wear and to going shopping.

“My lifestyle has just really improved, I feel better, I’m much more confident.

“I would never ever have even dreamed about becoming a Cambridge consultant or opening my own clinic when I was at my biggest.

“I’ve got a lot more energy to play with the kids and just in general.”

Sam decided to become a Cambridge consultant 10 months ago.

She said: “I just want to help people to get back their confidence in the way I feel it helped me get back my life.

“It can make such a big difference.

“I want to help other people to feel better.

“And the clinic will make that easier.

“It just gives some extra flexibility.

“I’ll have the products there and people can make appointments for one-to-one support – be weighed and measured, have their BMI done, buy the products and so on.

“It’s just about offering them that support.”
