Fans of film classic Home Alone might be surprised to find these two dastardly but inept 'burglars' lurking in a Blackpool garden.

Fear not, though, they are not about to break into someone's home.

They have been created by Blackpool mum Chelsea Ladish, partner Perry and seven year old son, Rook, as part of a festive way of raising funds for Roseacre Primary School in South Shore.

The figures were part of a money-spinning treasure trail game staged by parents as a fun social event before Christmas, with all donations going to the school.

Chelsea, 38, of Harrowside, said: "There were about 40 parents and their children involved and they all put some treats in their front gardens for the others to find.

"With it being the 30th anniversary of Home Alone this Christmas, I decided to add to the fun by making the two burglars.

"I loved that film when I was a child and Rook loves it too."

In the film, Kevin McCallister is accidentally left at home when his parents rush off on holiday with their large brood of children, not realising Kevin has been left behind until they are on the plane.

While they are away, dopey but potentially dangerous burglars Marv and Harry try and break in - but are foiled by Kevin, played by Macaulay Culkin,

Chelsea's two figures bear a very close resemblance to Marv (Daniel Stern) and Harry (Joe Pesci).

The trail has been running from ran from Monday December 7 so far it has raised more than £350 in donations.

The two figures will be on display in the front garden until Saturday and passers-by will be welcome to add a few coins if they wish!
