'Immensely proud'- Blackpool dancers prepare for Britain's Got Talent final after Golden Buzzer success
The Britain’s Got Talent final takes place this weekend and there will be some very strong Fylde Coast representation...
Two Blackpool dancers are amongst a 66-person dance collective preparing to take to the stage for the live final of Britain’s Got Talent this Saturday.
Students from LMA (Liverpool Media Acdemy) made it to the popular ITV talent show’s final this weekend following a stunning Golden Buzzer-winning semi-final performance.
The group is made up of undergraduate and postgraduate dance students aged 19-24 studying at LMA Liverpool, inlcuding five girls from Lancashire: Grace Dixon, 21 from -Marton in Blackpool; Joanna Majchrzyk, 19 from South Shore in Blackpool; Amelia Seddon, 20, from Lea in Preston; Hanna-Rae Oddie, 21, from Longton/Preston and Kayleigh Coleman, 23, from Rawtenstall.

The Liverpool based dance collective secured their place after receiving Alesha Dixon’s Golden Buzzer during the live semi-finals, which sent them straight through to the final without facing the public vote.
Now, ahead of Saturday night’s live final where the lucky winner will walk away with £250,000 prize, the group is entering the final stages of rehearsals as they prepare to perform in front of millions of viewers across the UK once again.
Richard Wallace, Founder of LMA, said: “I know I speak on behalf of the whole of LMA when I say just how incredibly proud I am of this group of performers and we’re delighted that the UK is seeing just how talented they all are.
“Seeing them get through to the final has been amazing and The Golden Buzzer moment was something none of us will ever forget.
“The team has worked so hard together over the past few months and what makes this performance so special is that it’s completely built around unity and trust. Every single person matters in the piece and I think audiences really connect with that.
“We’re immensely proud of how they’ve represented both the institution and the city of Liverpool throughout this journey, and we’re excited for the public to see what they deliver in the final.”

Choreographed by internationally renowned artist Sadeck Berrabah, also known globally for his Murmuration movement style, their semi-final performance has become one of the standout dance acts of this year’s competition thanks to its precision, synchronisation and visually striking storytelling.
Unlike traditional dance performances built around soloists, the routine places full emphasis on collaboration and collective movement, reflecting the realities of professional commercial and screen performance.
Since first appearing on the show, the dancers have become one of the competition’s most talked-about acts, with their performances gaining widespread attention across social media and national press coverage.
LMA say the final marks a huge moment not only for the students involved but also for Liverpool’s creative and performing arts scene, with the city once again being represented on a major national platform.
Alongside intensive Britain’s Got Talent rehearsals and filming schedules, the students have continued balancing degree-level training and end-of-year performances at LMA Liverpool.
Kemal Kuguloglu, Head of Dance at LMA Liverpool, said: “To see our students reach the Britain’s Got Talent final has been extraordinary. The level of professionalism, discipline and teamwork they’ve shown throughout this process has been exceptional.
“The choreography itself is incredibly demanding, requiring complete trust, timing and precision across all 66 performers. The students have embraced every challenge whilst continuing their studies and training at LMA.”
The Britain’s Got Talent final airs live this Saturday evening on ITV, with the winner decided by public vote.
