A festive lights extravaganza at Lytham Hall has been proving a big hit.

More than 2,500 people have already been to view what Hall officials feel is the best dressed Christmas yet inside the Grade I-listed Georgian mansion.

Thousands more are booked to come over the next few weeks of the A Not So Silent Night tour, with coach party numbers at a record high.

Each year from now on, the Hall’s festive celebrations are taking on a different theme and subject.

This year’s A Not So Silent Night features a musical journey from room to room adorned magnificent decorations.

“The interior of this wonderful building is a sight to behold as Fylde's finest heritage asset comes alive in a festival of light throughout,” said a Hall spokesman.

A Not So Silent Night is open six nights and five afternoons per week until January 3, with reservations at seaty.co.uk/silentnight and further details at www.lythamhall.org,uk
