Pensioner critically ill after horror crash
A Blackpool pensioner was yesterday fighting for his life in hospital after a crash in Wyre.
Emergency services were called at around 11.50am on Thursday to St Michaels Road near Myerscough College following reports of an accident
A Ford Fiesta travelling westbound had drifted across the road and collided with a hedgerow, police said.

Hide AdThe driver, a 75-year-old man from Blackpool, was found unresponsive and taken to Royal Preston Hospital by paramedics. He is currently in a critical condition.
A female passenger was uninjured.
Sgt Dave Hurst, of Lancashire Police’s Road Policing Unit, urged witnesses to call police on 101.
