The group of 20, who have been studying for their GCSEs, were on a visit to London organised by their teacher Mr Conway and given a guided tour of the Palace of Westminster.
Following their tour, the students put questions to Mr Maynard on a range of issues from the outcome of the EU Referendum and the voting age to mental health issues in Blackpool and across the UK.
Mr Maynard said: “I am always keen to engage with young people from the constituency on the issues that matter to them and, as far as I can, to make politics more accessible to them.
“I was impressed by the number of students who spoke and I was encouraged by the level of their interest in key issues.”
