Pair hurt in crash at busy junction
Two people were hurt during a crash at a busy Blackpool junction this afternoon.
A 65-year-old female driver and her 50-year-old male passenger suffered chest injuries when their silver Mercedes collided with a white Citroen at the junction of Highfield Road and St Annes Road in South Shore, a spokesman for Lancashire Police said.
An ambulance was initially called at around 1.35pm, although the pair’s injuries were not believed to be serious so no ambulance was sent, a spokeswoman for the North West Ambulance Service.
Enquiries are ongoing.
