Blackpool Teaching Hospital

I wish to express my sincere thanks to the CT Outpatients Department of the BTH.

I had a CT scan a few days ago at the Blackpool Teaching Hospital.

From the moment I arrived, I was met with professionalism, kindness, and a genuinely warm welcome. The reception staff were friendly and efficient, the auxiliary assistant was helpful and reassuring, and the CT technicians were exemplary in their manner and care. Every member of staff I encountered conducted themselves with courtesy, patience, and compassion, which immediately put me at ease.

I would also like to commend the department itself. The waiting areas are bright, cheerful, and inviting, the cubicles are spacious and well-designed, and the scanning room is large and welcoming. It is clear that thought and care have gone into creating an environment that helps reduce anxiety for patients.

During the procedure, the technicians and nurse took the time to explain everything clearly, talked me through each step, and did so with a calm and reassuring manner that greatly helped to settle my nerves. Their professionalism, combined with genuine kindness, made what could have been a stressful experience feel manageable and positive.

I truly cannot praise the team enough. The experience left me feeling profoundly grateful and in awe of the dedication, care, and excellence provided by the NHS. I would like to express my thanks and appreciation to everyone in the CT Outpatient Department — they are a credit to the hospital and to the NHS as a whole.
