One person treated for smoke inhalation after flat fire in Fleetwood

An investigation has been launched after a fire broke out at a flat in Fleetwood today (March 18).

Three fire engines from Fleetwood and Bispham attended the scene in Bold Street at around 10.10am.

Firefighters equipped with breathing apparatus extinguished the fire, which involved a first floor flat, using one hose reel.

One person was given first aid by fire crews at the scene after suffering from suspected smoke inhalation.

Crews were in attendance for approximately one-and-a-half hours and an investigation into the incident is now underway, the fire service said.
