One person taken to hospital after 't-shirt catches fire on electric heater' in St Annes

A t-shirt that had been left on an electric heater caught fire at a property in St David's Road South at around 2.40am today (January 11).

Two fire engines from St Annes rushed to the home and used a ventilation unit to help clear smoke from the property.

Fire crews administered first aid to one casualty at the scene before they were taken to hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation.

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service said they were in attendance for approximately one hour.
