Oasis legend Liam Gallagher sings touching tribute to Manchester Arena attack victims

He appeared on Wednesday night after Ariana Grande, who performed at the Arena the night it was targeted, was forced to pull out.

The American pop star was due to take to the stage to remember the victims of the terrorist attack that took place at her concert in May last year, but was not well enough to travel to the UK.

South Shore Academy receptionist and much-loved mum Jane Tweddle was among 22 people killed when Salman Abedi detonated a suicide device.

Manchester-born Liam, 45, was introduced to the stage by Take That star Gary Barlow, who said: “Fear will never divide us.”

And photographs of those who died in the attack were shown on a screen above Liam as he performed – reducing some viewers to tears.
