Newton car crash leaves car without axle
A car was left without its rear axle and wheels following a crash at a busy junction.
The black Ford Fiesta crashed on Blackpool Road at around 9.30am and its axle ended up on the pavement on Bryning Lane.
A police spokesman described it as a "minor" accident and no one was injured.
