The Tranche 3 version of the RAF’s Typhoon will be the aircraft built by BAE Systems workers for many years to come.

The manufacture of parts takes place at BAE’s facility in Samlesbury, Lancashire, with final assembly and flight testing taking place in Warton.

It was first used in combat during the 2011 military intervention in Libya.
