New PCs sworn in to Lancashire police force
Clive Grunshaw, Lancashire’s Police and Crime Commissioner, said: “One of my key priorities is to protect frontline policing in the county, maintaining a 24-hour service across every inch of the county.
“It has been several years since Lancashire Constabulary has been able to open up recruitment externally, and the demand from people wanting to join was phenomenal.”

Hide AdThe PCs will continue with their training for the next five months. They will then complete a public order training course before entering into the tutor phase, during which they will shadow officers for 10 weeks.
After completing a two-year probationary period, the new recruits will achieve a Level 3 Diploma in policing and graduate in April 2017.
