New look for Fylde holiday village pool

Fylde holiday village Ribby Hall has release images of how its £1.5m pool revamp will look when it opens next month.

The tropical island themed family pool will have ineractive water features, a choldren’s splash zone and new water slides plus a sauna area.

The new pool will have racer slides and a large interactive flume which will take riders outside of the building over the roof and back in during which they can take part in an interactive reaction game which will give each rider a personal score and a photograph of them riding the slide which can be uploaded to social media.

Specialist design, technical and installation company World Leisure from Chorley is in charge of the development with MD and Associates overseeing the overall design concept.

All of the pool plant has been replaced with a state of the art air and water heating system being installed as well as advanced filtration equipment including UV to maintain water quality.

Shower facilities are being improved and disabled changing facilities refurbished alongside the introduction of a poolside hoist making access easier for all.

Also opening in 2017 will be a new outdoor play area in addition to The Village’s large outdoor Adventure Playground.

A themed children’s play ship with slides and climbing frames for younger children will also open in time for Easter near the Tapas Restaurant.

Mark Partington, managing director of Ribby Hall Village said: “The new family pool is an exciting new addition to our facilities and the largest pool redevelopment in Ribby Hall Village history.

“Swimming is a popular activity for families staying on The Village and we felt it was time to redevelop our existing family swimming pool.

“The new pool is bright, fresh and fun and offers an exciting swimming experience for the whole family. We continue to reinvest and everything we do is about improving the experience.”
