Motorway accident causes delays
Rush hour traffic on the M55 was brought to a crawl during the evening rush hour after an accident near Preston today.
Vehicles heading east, away from Blackpool, have been delayed following the incident. One lane was closed on the M6, between junctions 32 and 31 southbound.
According to the Highways Agency, normal service is expected from around 7.15pm.
