A motorcyclist suffered serious leg injuries following a collision in Blackpool today.

The incident happened at 7.40am outside the Conservative Club on Common Edge Road, Marton, when there was a collision between a black Ford saloon car and a black Suzuki motorcycle.

The injured man was treated at the scene by paramedics after suffering a suspected broken right leg before being taken to hospital.

Common Edge Road was closed between Drakelowe Avenue and Collyhurst Avenue while the emergency services dealt with the incident.
