Monster success in Blackpool for Raving Loony Party conference
British politics would not be the same without the Monster Raving Loony Party and its members had a ride old time at their annual conference in the resort.
Led by Howling ‘Laud’ Hope, the Monsters enjoyed a weekend of fun and games including their traditional open top bus ride down the Prom.

Howling ‘Laud’ Hope added that he was hopeful that another of his policies might get taken up – naming Southampton airport the Benny Hill Airport in the same way Belfast (George Best) and Liverpool (John Lennon) are named after their famous sons.
He said: “We had an absolutely fantastic time in Blackpool. It has everything the Monster Raving Loony Party needs and we have everything to voters of Blackpool need.
“We enjoyed our bus ride from Fleetwood to Blackpool, with one or two pit stops on the way for liquid refreshment, and we held our important cabinet reshuffle.

“We have our Monster Raving Loony cabinet – and old wardrobe – which we get into and all shuffle about.
"Over the three days we must have had almost a thousand people coming along with us. It was great and I would like to thank Molloys and everyone else for making us so welcome.”
