Over its first three evenings – a ‘soft opening’ for staff and contractors, a VIP evening and the AFC Fylde awards night with live entertainment – more than 2,000 pints were pulled and the number of meals served topped 300.

That was even before the official opening of Bradleys and the Aroma café, which included big screen sport all day plus live entertainment, and was attended by more than 400 people.

The al fresco seating area was put to good use and club officials are looking forward to welcoming plenty of eager customers to the state-of-the-art facilities throughout the Euro 2016 tournament which starts tomorrow.

Mill Farm chief executive David Chell said: “It was great to see that all the hard work to get the bar open on time paid off.

“We received so much positive feedback about the fit out and quality of the bar and the TVs, particularly the huge video wall.

“We are already extending the al fresco seating area to accommodate more customers and adding to the menu as it has been so popular.

“We look forward to welcoming everyone from sports fans to families and everyone in between.”

Meanwhile, as AFC Fylde shape up for the new National League North season, preceded by a testimonial match for former Blackpool star Brett Ormerod on July 31, work on the ground itself at the £18m development in Fleetwood Road, Wesham is continuing apace.

The pitch has been seeded and the entrance to the West Stand has been graced with Mill Farm signage which, along with the AFC Fylde wording on the pitch side of the stand, are illuminated by LED lighting after dark.

Bradleys is open from 11am and Aroma from 7am Monday to Saturday and 9am and the Euro 2016 action starts with France against Romania tomorrow evening.
