Oliver Casey is inches away from getting a touch on Luke Garbutt’s inviting corner. Man City eventually clear though.

Riyad Mahrez pulls the ball back into the path of Joao Cancello, but his fierce drive flies two or three yards over the Blackpool bar.

21 - GOAL BLACKPOOL!

Luke Garbutt side foots expertly into the top corner from the penalty spot. Pool are level!

20 - PENALTY BLACKPOOL!

Shayne Lavery does superbly to take the ball past Ruben Dias before being hauled to the ground. The referee has no choice but to point to the spot.

A Luke Garbutt cross from a free-kick pinballs around the City box. It looks like it might drop for Marvin Ekpiteta, but he can’t quite reach the ball and it bobbles through to goalkeeper Zack Steffen.

Stuart Moore scampers across his goal as Riyad Mahrez’s shot takes a deflection, but thankfully for the Seasiders his effort just drops wide.

Wow, what a chance that is to level.

Shayne Lavery is set free down the left, he looks up and notices Josh Bowler in space in the centre of the pitch. Lavery’s ball into the middle is a good one, but Bowler’s first-time effort is too high and flies over the Man City bar. The winger simply had to hit the target as a minimum.

Pool are sticking to their guns here and continue to play the ball out from the back. It’s inviting pressure over and over again, but it’s clearly how Neil Critchley wants his side to play in the Championship this season.

Josh Bowler runs straight at Nathan Ake with a promising, direct surge into the box. Man City eventually deal with it, but that was better from the Seasiders.

Man City work the ball to Ben Knight from their corner, but his shot is straight at Stuart Moore who collects.

A bit of relief for Pool. For a few seconds, at least, as City win the ball back almost immediately.
