Man in court over indecent images

Paul Rimmer was allegedly found with 1,138 pictures and 42 movie clips, some at the most indecent level, on his computer.

Rimmer, 51, of Clifton Drive South, St Annes, faces seven charges of making and five charges of possessing child pornography.

The offences are said to have taken place at Blackpool between August and October last year.

Pam Smith, prosecutor asked for the case to be heard at crown court. Defence lawyer, Daniel Harman, said his client would not indicate pleas to the offences at that stage.

Rimmer was bailed to appear at Preston Crown Court on September 30 by a district judge at Blackpool Magistrates’ Court.
