Man found dead in home after police respond to 'concern for welfare' call in Blackpool

The body of a man was found inside a house after police responded to a concern for welfare call in the resort.

Police had been called to a house in Waterloo Road to "reports of a concern for welfare" yesterday evening (Wednesday, September 30).

The body of a man was found when officers entered the address at around 8.10pm.

Detectives attended, as did crime scene investigators, and they have now ruled out foul play.

A spokesman for Lancashire Police said: "Officers have attended an address in Waterloo Road, Blackpool, and sadly found a man deceased.

"His death is not being treated as suspicious. A file will be passed onto the coroner's office in due course."
