Major festival secures sponsor

Chartered management accountants Danbro is helping to sponsor this year’s week-long Lytham Festival which hopes to attract around 100,000 people to the town from August 2 to August 9.

Danbro is based in Lytham, with its offices at Jubilee House overlooking where the main festival stage will be on the Green.

Co-founder and director of people and standards, Helen Broughton described working with the Lytham Festival as the “perfect partnership.”

She said: “We have made Lytham our home and want to celebrate Lytham and being there so this is the perfect partnership for us.

“Lytham Festival shows Lytham at its best. It shows that Lytham can hold its own with the best of them, not just in the county but in the country, in terms of putting on a show.”

Lytham Festival is organised by event promoters Cuffe and Taylor who this year will bring headline acts including Billy Ocean, Faithless, Marti Pellow and Elaine Page to the Proms arena. There will also be nightly acoustic sets at Lowther Pavilion, the Assembly Rooms will be transformed into a Jazz Café, The Piazza welcomes the BBC Introducing Stage, the Hewitt Lecture Rooms will host evenings of poetry and spoken word and Park View4U will host the Comedy Big Top and The Festival of Stories.

Cuffe and Taylor director Peter Taylor said: “We are thrilled Danbro has come on-board with Lytham Festival and is showing its support. We have enjoyed fantastic success in the past with Lytham Proms but this year is going to be so much bigger now that we have a week-long festival so it is important that such big and well respected companies want to bring their name to our event.
