Bakery giant Greggs is opening a new store on the Fylde Coast later this year.
The company, famed for its sausage rolls and steak bakes, has confirmed Fleetwood will see one of its stores in town - but it couldn’t reveal the exact location.

A spokesperson for Greggs said: “Greggs is due to open a new shop Fleetwood later this year. While we are unable to share any details at the moment, we will share further information nearer the time.”
A job advertisement for a shift manager is already being advertised for the new store which will be a first for Fleetwood.
The nearest Greggs is currently in Blackpool so it expected the new store could generate business from the whole of the North Fylde area visiting Fleetwood for a Greggs sausage roll, a tasty steak bake or a coffee.

However not everyone was happy about the news.
Fleetwood Councillor Christine Smith had reservations and feared a bakery could have a detrimental affect on the ones already struggling in Fleetwood.
She said: “It could have an impact on bakeries struggling to keep open.
“Lord Street is still affected by the closure of the road following the fire. We need stores that are needed in Fleetwood not ones that could affect the ones we already have.”
And hotelier Eric Smallman said: “We already have a Pound Bakery, I think a healthier option would be better.”
Greggs massive popularity and exponential growth in recent years shows little sign of slowing as it continues its rapid expansion of stores across the UK.
The company says it remains focused on opening new stores, particularly in travel hubs and roadside locations, as demand for its affordable food-to-go continues to grow.
