Lytham McDonald’s continues support for local grassroots football club CN Sports FC
“We look forward to continuing to build on this partnership in the future.”
Lytham McDonald’s has continued its support of local grassroots football club CN Sports FC by becoming the lead sponsor of its two-day football tournament.
The event welcomed 98 teams from across the UK, with more than 1,500 young players taking part over the weekend alongside their families and supporters. The partnership, which began earlier this year, has also expanded to include sponsorship of the club’s Under 10s, Under 12s and Under 15s teams, with McDonald’s providing kits for the season.
During the tournament, restaurant crew volunteered more than 300 hours, running a community stall offering McDonald’s Fruit Bags and Bottled Water, while hosting competitions with prizes including McDonald’s Fun Football. Crew members also presented trophies to the tournament winners, celebrating the achievements of the young players and supporting the club.

Local McDonald’s Franchisee Nigel Dunnington, who owns and operates 16 restaurants in Lancashire, said: “The stall was incredibly successful and gave our crew the opportunity to speak directly with local families and players. Being present in the community and supporting initiatives like this is a huge part of what we do.
“It has been fantastic to see how our partnership with CN Sports FC has grown – from sponsoring three local teams to becoming the lead sponsor of a major two-day community football tournament and I couldn’t be prouder. A huge thank you to CN Sports and our restaurant team for making this all happen.
“We look forward to continuing to build on this partnership in the future.”
Lee Good, Club Secretary of CN Sports Football Club, said: “For our first tournament, the weekend was a huge success - the weather was hot and the football was fantastic. We would like to thank all teams for attending, our fantastic group of referees and most of all our fabulous volunteers, without whom the tournament simply wouldn’t have been possible.
“We’re also delighted to have raised £600 for local charities, including Cycle for Dominic and Fylde Explorers. Finally, a massive thank you to Lytham McDonald’s for their continued support. Their backing has been invaluable in helping us make our first tournament such a success.”
