The charity, which launched in 2012, aims to bring a little sunshine into the lives of local deserving children, by providing them, and their families, with a special, one-week luxury holiday in a four-bedroom detached villa, in the sunny Andalucia region of Southern Spain, or at selected UK holiday parks.

Funding for these holidays is raised by selling unwanted donated clothing and household items from its shop in Lytham St Annes and by holding fund-raising events in the Blackpool area.

1st Fleetwood Scouts Curiosity Shop

1st Fleetwood Scouts launched their Curiosity Shop, in London Street, in 2012. The shop sells a variety of secondhand games, books, toys and household items.

It also holds raffles, with all proceeds going back into the scout group.

Oxfam, Thornton Cleveleys

Oxfam, in Victoria Road West, Thornton-Cleveleys, sells a variety of clothes, bags, hats, shoes, fancy dress items, books and toys.

All money goes towards Oxfam, which is a renowned aid and development charity with 70 years of experience, working and campaigning with partners in more than 90 countries worldwide.

The charity helps to deliver women’s rights in poorer countries, provide food and water, seeks to improves education and provides emergency aid during natural disasters.

Trinity Hospice Shop, Blackpool

Trinity Hospice Shop, in Central Drive, Blackpool, sells High Street brands at discount prices.

It stocks a large selection of children’s toy’s books and games, clothes, bric-a-brac and books. It also sells second hand furniture, at its Talbot Road and Waterloo Road sites, offering a collection service for unwanted items it can re-sell.

Always keen to involve the community, the shop holds tea parties for its customers, which raises extra funds for Trinity Hospice and Brian House.

Barnardo's, Blackpool

Barnardo’s has three sites in Blackpool: Abingdon Street, Waterloo Road and Cherry Tree Road. They all sell a range of items, including toys, games, books, clothes and bric-a-brac.
