Volunteers from Oxford Court in Oxford Road, St Annes, have donated blankets which they have made to St Annes Cat Rescue which takes in stray felines.

Now the charity is appealing for donations of knitting wool to enable the volunteers to make more blankets.

Christine Ashton, of St Annes Cat Rescue which has a fundraising shop on St Andrews Road South, St Annes, said: “People are so generous.

“We could also do with some knitting wool for people to knit blankets for the cats.

“Some of our kittens are pictured here investigating their new blanket, kindly donated by the ladies who knit at Oxford Court in St Annes.”

All donations can be taken to the store.
