It's happy returns for women in business awards for Blackpool

The business awards for women across the county is all set to return this year to its spiritual home '“ the Empress Ballroom a the Winter Gardens.

The Enterprise Vision Awards, which shines the light on businesswomen across the North West, had been established since 2011 and held in the ballroom since 2015.

However, due to last minute roof repairs in the ballroom, the awards were moved into the Pavilion, but despite this change the ceremony was better than ever, attracting a record number of guests.

Award submissions are now open for entry, Coral Horn, organiser of the EVAs and founder of Blackpool-based networking group, Pink Link Ladies, has said that it is all systems go now.

She said: “We can’t wait to be back in the Empress Ballroom,” she said. It’s a beautiful room and our guests always comment on how beautiful the room looks for the ceremony.

“2017 was our biggest awards to date, we had the last minute re-location but the team worked hard and feedback from guests was extremely good.

“I am pleased we are now open for entries as the phone hasn’t stopped ringing with people wanting to start nominating.

“We’re finalising details of our Eva Roadshow as well and we will soon be able to announce the dates.”

Already confirmed for the awards is the returning of Rebecca Jane, who will act as the MC for the night. Rebecca, is the founder of a successful all-female private investigation company, The Lady Detective Agency, which was set up in 2009 after she suspected her now ex-husband was having an affair.

Multi award-winning, KRPR, will once again be sponsors of the Creative Industry category. Managing director of the PR agency Kara Rose said: “The awards are renowned in the region and they really do highlight all the successes of women in business which we are proud to play our part in.”

Also making a return for the second successive year is Patrick McBride – the official Milk Tray Man who will accompany winners to the stage.
