I visited Blackpool's Beach House for its Campari Christmas launch - and it set the tone for the season

Beach House Blackpool has officially stepped into Christmas - and this year, the theme is Campari red.

I visited for the launch night, and from the moment I stepped inside it was clear they’d fully committed to it.

Red Campari baubles hung between the wicker lampshades, giving the ceiling a festive, eye-catching look.

Each table had a small Campari-branded lamp casting a warm glow, and even the cushions tied into the theme.

Combined with the view of the Blackpool Illuminations outside, the whole space felt cosy, atmospheric and ready for the season.

The drinks menu leaned fully into Campari classics and creative twists.

I started with a Campari Spritz, but the Jungle Bird quickly became my favourite - a mix of Campari, dark rum, pineapple and lime that hit the perfect balance of sweet and bitter.

A waiter mentioned it had been popular all evening which didn’t surprise me.

I also tried the Enzoni, a refreshing combination of gin, grapes and lemon, which was another great option.

Food was served canapé-style, with trays brought around to each table.

The focaccia with garlic oil was soft and moreish, and the salmon bite - served on a crisp base with a creamy topping - paired well with the drinks.

But the standout for me was the arancini.

Rich, creamy and cheesy, it was easily my favourite bite of the night and the one I would’ve happily eaten more of.

It’s a dish Beach House always seems to get exactly right.

The mix of festive décor, warm lighting and the easy-going soundtrack created a cosy, stylish atmosphere that suited the venue perfectly.

With the glow of the Illuminations visible through the windows, the whole evening felt like a glimpse of what the rest of the Christmas season will look like at the venue.

After seeing the setup and trying the food and drink, it’s clear they’re gearing up for a strong festive run.

The event delivered exactly what Beach House does best: great drinks, well-executed small plates and a warm, welcoming setting.

With the Campari collaboration following on from their successful Aperol partnership, it feels like another natural fit for the venue.

And if you go, make sure you try the Jungle Bird. It’s the kind of cocktail you order once and immediately consider ordering again.
