Grab a cuppa to raise money
Fylde coast residents are being urged to put their feet up with a brew – in aid of a good cause.
Fylde Christian Service Church, on St Andrews Road South, in St Annes, will be hosting a Big Coffee Morning on Saturday, September 27, to raise money for Macmillan, to help people living with cancer. The event will take place between 10am and noon, and is due to be opened by the MP for Fylde Mark Menzies.
Councillors will be supporting the efforts, part of a national Macmillan campaign – which asks people to host a coffee morning on or around September 26 and which nationally last year raised £20m.
Business in the area are being asked to donate items to help with fund-raising. The church can be contacted on (01253) 788388.
