The Friday March 27 charity ball is the civic year’s main fund-raising event for the mayoral charities which, this year, are the RNLI and the YMCA.

Coun Eastham said: “It has been a fantastic year so far and it has just got busier and busier as my year in office has passed.

“It has been very interesting meeting so many residents who make Fylde what it is – and this year’s charity ball will be a great opportunity to get as many people together as possible.”

Tickets cost £35 and are available from Jo Collins, the Mayor’s secretary, at the town hall.

Mrs Collins can be contacted on 01253 658505 or via [email protected]
