'I'm delighted' - Fylde MP Andrew Snowden throws support behind Kirkham community boxing programme
Fylde MP Andrew Snowden has visited a community boxing programme supporting young people across Kirkham and the wider Fylde Coast.
The visit, which took place in November 2025, was arranged as part of ongoing efforts to highlight local initiatives focused on youth development. During the visit, representatives from IRR International and the Rehman Malik Foundation met with organisers behind Adam Little Boxing.

The programme, delivered through A.L Combat Gym, uses sport to provide structured activity, mentorship and support for young people, particularly those who may benefit from alternative approaches to education and personal development.
Adam Little, founder of A.L Combat Gym, said: “It’s great to be involved in a proven boxing-related programme to hopefully change as many young lives as possible.
“With the guidance and support of Ali Rehman Malik from the Institute of Research and Reforms International & the Rehman Malik Foundation, we look forward to building something positive through sport, alternative education & potential real-life work experience.

“Our aim is to mentor and guide young people to become the best version of themselves.”
Following the visit, IRR International and the Rehman Malik Foundation have provided funding equivalent to 15 structured group training sessions over the coming year. The support is intended to help expand opportunities for young people taking part in the scheme.
The initiative forms part of a wider commitment from the organisations, with further phases of support and potential expansion expected in the future.
Andrew Snowden MP added: “I am delighted and very grateful to see IRR International supporting this work and helping expand the classes so even more people can benefit. Adam Little is doing something truly special for Kirkham and the wider Fylde Coast, and I will continue doing everything I can to support the amazing work he is leading through A.L Combat Gym.”
Adam Little Boxing focuses on building discipline and providing positive opportunities through sport, with sessions designed to engage young people from across the Fylde Coast.
The involvement of Mr Snowden reflects his backing for community-led projects in the area, particularly those aimed at supporting young people and broadening access to constructive activities outside of traditional education pathways.
Commenting on the initiative, Ali Rehman Malik, chairman of IRR International, and the Rehman Malik Foundation, said: “Initiatives like this play an important role in providing structure, discipline and a sense of direction for young people.
“In areas where opportunities can be limited, community-led programmes like Adam Little Boxing Club offer something practical and immediate, a space for development, support and personal growth.
“We are pleased to support this work and believe it will contribute, in a small but meaningful way, to strengthening the local community.”
