'Great news for St Annes' - Fylde Council celebrates footfall surge amid major town centre improvement works

‘It’s great news.’

St Annes has been ranked third in the North West for year-on-year footfall growth among towns attracting more than 100,000 visitors a month, according to the latest Regions footfall report.

Fylde Council has welcomed the figures, pointing to the ongoing St Annes Improvements scheme as a key factor behind the rise in visitor numbers.

The scheme, which covers the Square, Pier Link, Garden Street and Orchard Road, has been reshaping the town centre with a focus on making it a more attractive place to shop, socialise and spend time.

A council spokesperson said the ranking was "great news for St Annes", adding that it was encouraging to see more people choosing to visit the town as the regeneration works continue to take shape.

The footfall boost will be seen as a positive sign for local businesses, many of which have weathered months of town centre works, and adds momentum to the wider push to revitalise St Annes as a destination for shoppers and visitors alike.
