Major Lancashire Police update as 2nd Fylde coast teacher arrested on suspicion of operating brothel
Suspect released on bail with conditions, pending further enquiries
A Fylde coast teacher has been arrested on suspicion of operating a brothel.
Lancashire Police have confirmed that a 52-year-old man was arrested in Thornton Cleveleys on May 21 on suspicion of prostitution – keeping a brothel.
He was later released on bail with conditions, pending further enquiries.

While the cases are unrelated, the incident follows a similar case in which another Fylde coast teacher aged 58 was arrested on March 23 alongside a 54-year-old woman on suspicion of keeping a brothel and money laundering.
The teacher, who works with hundreds of children on the Fylde coast, was released under investigation, while the woman was bailed, both pending further enquiries. For legal reasons, neither the pair nor the school involved were named at the time.
At the time, a spokesman for the school told The Gazette: “The Trust has taken all appropriate safeguarding steps on being informed by the local authority designated officer of the concerns, and is reassured that the allegations have no connection with the school or children.
“We can confirm the member of staff is not in school. However, we are unable to comment further as directed by the police and local authority designated officer."
