Fylde coast retirement homes site opens its doors

The first retiree residents were welcomed to McCarthy and Stone's development on Poachers Way in Thornton.

William Taylor 80, and Jean Hewitt, 81 both joined the McCarthy and Stone team in the Burrstone Grange’s landscaped gardens to celebrate the latest milestone at the development with a glass of fizz.

They were both presented with welcome gifts at the development of 42 one and two bedroom apartments.

Bill Taylor said: “Moving can often be a daunting process, so it was lovely to receive a warm welcome from the team at Burrstone Grange. We’re both really looking forward to settling-in to our new apartments and beginning this next exciting chapter of our retirement years.”

The event at Burrstone Grange also gave people to have a guided tour of the newly-completed development designed for the over 60s.
