Funeral set for '˜loveable rogue' Kris

Kris, 29, was found hanged inside his central Blackpool home in an apparent suicide.

A memorial service will be held at St John’s Church in Cedar Square at 11am on Thursday, followed by a burial at Lytham Crematorium.

His brother Andy said: “We’re taking him in a carriage with glass sides to the church and then down to the crematorium.

“Honestly I bet there will be thousands of people there. He was very, very loved.

“He’s had hundreds and hundreds of flowers outside his house and now there’s groups set up the pay for his headstone.”

Andy will act as pallbearer for Kris, alongside other family members.

He added: “My mum and dad are absolutely broken. We’re devastated but I’ve got to keep it together for the family.

“My mum and dad have get songs together that remind them of him.

“He’d be laughing his head off looking at all the attention, 100 per cent. He would be loving it. He liked to be liked.

“He’s at peace now; he’s not going to be in any pain any more. It breaks my heart but he’s gone and I won’t get to tell him I love him more than anything.

“I think the church will be full. All Blackpool’s best will be there. I think they’ll be coming out the doors.”
