Fun at Blackpool restaurant raises thousands for abandoned dogs

Lucia Frankitt organised the evening of entertainment at San Marco’s in Lytham Road restaurant after hearing of terrible cruelty meted out to dogs in Romania.

Among those taking part were Mick Miller, Johnnie Casson, Peter Anthony, Cinzia Lanza, Kelly Johnson, Dominic Creighton and Max Fox, Donna Reid, Emma Louise Jackson and Lucia herself.

She said: “The atmosphere was buzzing. Mick Miller hosted the auction which was very comical as you can imagine and I was amazed and overwhelmed by the generosity of our customers and indeed the artists.”
