Lancashire County Council has scheduled the dates for its development control committee to make decisions on planning applications from Cuadrilla Resources to drill, frack, and test gas flows, with associated applications for environmental monitoring, at Preston New Road at Little Plumpton, and Roseacre Wood at Roseacre.

The applications relating to the Preston New Road site are to be decided at meetings to take place on Tuesday, June 23 and Wednesday, June 24.

The applications relating to the Roseacre Wood site are scheduled to be decided at meetings to take place on June 25 and 26.

A decision was originally due in January but Cuadrilla asked for it to be deferred, as it submitted new information after planning officers for Lancashire County Council recommended the sites be refused planning permission due to noise and traffic.

The council has now consulted upon the new information and officers are reviewing the feedback.

Reports will be published at www.lancashire.gov.uk on June 16.
