Four boys taken to hospital after park fight

Police were called to a Poulton park after punches were thrown between two groups of teenagers.

Officers were called at around 5.20pm last night after two groups of young people were seen fighting in Jean Stansfield Memorial Park on Vicarage Road.

It is believed the teenagers left the scene for a short time, before returning to the park and resuming the altercation.

A 16-year-old boy was punched and kicked in the chest and head. Three other 16-year-old boys also suffered minor injuries and the four were taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital.

Police enquiries are ongoing. Anyone with any information about the incident is asked to contact police on 101 quoting the log number 1104 of April 24.
