They said: “Football's coming home and so is the sun - what a time to be alive.

“With that in mind, we want to remind you of a few bits to keep you safe and enjoying the weekend:

“Everyone likes to enjoy a drink or two, but make sure you book a taxi home/arrange a lift and remember that you can still be over the limit the next day

“Out with friends? Look out for each other - if something's not right, our officers will be out and about, so let one of us know .

They added: “As much as we'd love England to take the glory, it's just a game! If we win, great, if we lose, there's always next time! Football is never an excuse to end up in custody.

“COME ON ENGLAAAAAAND!”
